Nutley Resident Was Present During Home Robbery: Police
Nutley police have charged a 38-year-old local man with burglarizing a Harrison Street house while the resident was at home.

NUTLEY, NJ — Nutley police have charged a 38-year-old local man with burglarizing a Harrison Street house last week while the resident was at home, authorities say.
According to the Nutley Police Department, officers responded to a Harrison Street residence on Sept. 9 on a report of a suspected home burglary. On arrival, a resident of the home told officers that an unknown person entered the house through an unlocked window on the second floor and took $30 in cash, a credit card and a set of car keys.
The resident told officers that the suspect used the keys to steal their Toyota Matrix, police stated.

Nutley detectives later found that the victim’s credit card was used twice since the incident. In addition, detectives located the stolen car on Washington Avenue, authorities said.
Police later located and arrested Michael Pietso, 38, of Nutley, and charged him with burglary and theft in connection with the incident. He was transported to Essex County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
