Nutley Residents Report Tree-Related Damages During Storm

Nutley residents reported multiple tree-related damages last week.

Nutley, NJ – Nutley residents reported multiple tree-related damages last week, police stated.

On Jan. 13, officers responded to Jackson Street on a report of a tree that had fallen into a house.

The Nutley Fire Department was on scene and evaluating the house for any possible damage when police arrived, authorities said.

The “town tree” fell and struck the house on the southwest corner, damaging the gutter, police said.

However, there did not appear to be any major damage to the residence, police stated.

The same day, a Centre Street business owner told police that a 20-foot tree branch fell from a neighboring property onto the fence in the rear of their building, causing damage to two sections and the gate/door to their garbage area.
