Nutley Sees 2-Day Car Burglary Spree, Cops Issue Alert
Nutley Police: "September seems to be an active time for auto burglaries and thefts."

NUTLEY, NJ — Nutley police are warning residents to stay aware and lock their doors in the wake of a two-day car burglary spree.
On Wednesday morning, vehicle burglaries took place on Conover, Passaic, Harrison and Underhill, Nutley police stated.
On Thursday morning, vehicle burglaries took place on Cedar, Raymond, Prospect and Ridge. One resident on Ridge Road reported seeing “suspicious activity” from multiple people on their property at 2:20 a.m. When spotted, the suspects fled the scene, leaving more than $200 in loose change and a laptop computer behind them, authorities said.

Anyone with information or video surveillance of the car burglaries can contact Nutley police at 973-284-4940, or email NutleyDetectives@NutleyPD.com. If your vehicle appears to have been entered, contact police before entering or touching it, authorities said.
“September seems to be an active time for auto burglaries and thefts,” the Nutley Police Department stated. “Police ask that everyone take part in a lock your door campaign.”
