NUTLEY, NJ — A popular celebration will return to the streets of Nutley this weekend: the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Nutley’s 47th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade will take place on Saturday, March 7.

Organized by the Nutley Irish American Association (NIAA), the community event is a “time-honored tradition” in the township. This year’s festivities will include participation from several local dignitaries and other honorees of Irish descent, according to a municipal advisory.

“Festivities will begin with a special Investiture Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church. Those marching in the parade will line up at the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church at noon, and the parade will commence at 1 p.m. at the intersection of Harrison Avenue and Evergreen Street. The parade route will proceed north along Franklin Avenue and end on Chestnut Street at the Review Stand in front of John Walker Middle School.”

Honorees for 2026 include:

  • The 2026 Grand Marshal of the parade will be Nutley-raised and one of the founders of the Nutley St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Nutley Irish American Association, Stephen “Steve” Blank
  • The Deputy Grand Marshal will be Noel Lenahan and Firefighter of the Year will be Brandon Griffitt, both from Belleville
  • The 2026 NIAA Member of the Year was granted to Katherine Bennett of Belleville, NJ and the 2026 Queen was awarded to Victoria Healy of Nutley
