Nutley Students Practice Kindness After Reading R.J. Palacio Book

NUTLEY, NJ — Kindness is contagious. That’s the lesson that fifth and sixth grade students at Lincoln School recently put into practice after reading “Wonder” by R.J. Palacio.

According to a district social media post, in addition to analyzing the elements of the book, the students wrote postcards to 53 elementary schools across the nation encouraging kindness. The students also organized a project to help spread kindness throughout Lincoln School, asking each student to write a kind message to another individual within the school, administrators said.
