Nutley Teachers Rally; Union Continues Contract Talks With BOE

Dozens of Nutley public school teachers rallied outside John H. Walker Middle School.

NUTLEY, NJ — “1, 2, 3, 4, we won’t take it anymore… 5,6,7,8, it is time to negotiate.”

So went the chants from about 230, red-clad Nutley public school teachers as they rallied outside John H. Walker Middle School last week. The gathering of teachers on Jan. 23 was held in support of their union representatives with the Education Association of Nutley, who are trying to hammer out a new work contract with the Board of Education, TAP Into Nutley reported.

The rally took place well after classes were let out for the day and continued until dark, TAP Into reported. (Read the full article here)
