“Thankfully, we are making progress towards a post-COVID world and this year we will be able to celebrate our nation’s birthday on the actual day,” Nutley Mayor Joseph Scarpelli said.
“There is no greater thrill than sitting in the heart of our town and looking up and experiencing the magic that comes with the fireworks and our celebration,” Scarpelli added. “I felt it when I was a child and I still feel it all these years later.”
Scarpelli said this year’s celebration will “raise the bar” from the great fireworks shows in Nutley’s past.
“We are all about raising the spirits of our residents and the 4th of July celebration has been doing that for decades,” he said. “It is truly a family and community event. We hope to see everyone there.”
