Nutley Woman Fatally Shot In Belleville; Man Charged With Murder: ECPO
Authorities charged an Essex County man with murder after a Nutley woman was shot to death in Belleville on Sunday, authorities said.
BELLEVILLE, NJ -- Authorities charged an Essex County man with murder after a Nutley woman was shot to death in Belleville on Sunday, authorities said.
Belleville police responded to the 100-block of Meacham Street at 10:24 a.m. after getting a report about a shooting, according to a statement from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and the Belleville Police Department.
Officers found Erica Voloshin, 37, of Nutley, suffering from a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:42 a.m., prosecutors said.

Scott Hurring, 43, of Belleville, has been charged with murder in connection with the fatal shooting. He has also been charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, prosecutors said.
Hurring is in custody and an investigation is ongoing, prosecutors said Sunday evening.
