Nutley Youth Has ‘Suspicious Encounter’ With Man In Traffic Vest: Police
A Nutley youth reported that a "suspicious encounter" took place involving a man wearing an orange traffic vest, police say.

NUTLEY, NJ — A Nutley youth reported that a “suspicious encounter” took place involving a man in a car that they didn't know earlier this month, police say.
According to the Nutley Police Department, the youth told officers that the incident took place on Prospect Street on Feb. 7. The juvenile said that a Caucasian male about 50-years-old with balding, white or grey hair and wearing an orange traffic vest approached them in a vehicle and offered them a ride to school multiple times.
The youth reportedly told the man no each time, then the man drove off towards Centre Street, police said.

The juvenile described the car as a four-door, older-model, dark-blue sedan, authorities said.
Nutley detectives are conducting an investigation into the incident.
