Pamela Anderson Among Those Ripped Off In Nutley Cell Phone Scam: Police

The former Baywatch actor was allegedly charged for a phone and line that she didn't order, Nutley police say.

Nutley, NJ - An account for actor Pamela Anderson was among several that were fraudulently billed as part of a recent cellular phone scam conducted at an Essex County business, police charge.

According to the Nutley Police Department, a Franklin Avenue cell phone store recently reported that thousands of dollars of merchandise went missing.

After conducting an investigation, on Dec. 13, police charged one of the shop’s employees, Timothy Mangione, 39, of Union, with three counts of theft by deception.

According to police, Mangione allegedly added unauthorized cell phones and cell phone lines for at least three customers - including Anderson.

The alleged scam netted Mangione 10 iPhones and three Samsung Galaxy phones valued at $8,515, police said.

Police are investigating the possibility that there may be more victims.

Mangione’s charges were placed on a warrant and his bail was set at $10,000 with a 10 percent option, which was posted, authorities said.
