Pedestrian Hospitalized After Car Hits Her In Nutley: Police

First responders found the 53-year-old woman unconscious and face down in the roadway during a heavy rain, police said.

NUTLEY, NJ — A pedestrian was hospitalized after a car hit her in Nutley earlier this week, authorities said.

According to the Nutley Police Department, the pedestrian was struck near Franklin and Centre on Tuesday. Police and medical personnel found the 53-year-old woman unconscious and face down in the roadway at 6:47 a.m. during a heavy rain.

Emergency responders transported the injured woman to University Hospital in Newark. No additional information was immediately available.
