Poodle Bites Nutley Pedestrian: Police
Nutley residents reported dog bite incidents on Elm Place and Park Avenue, police say.

NUTLEY, NJ — A pair of Nutley residents reported dog bite incidents within a four-day period last month, including an incident on Elm Place involving a poodle, police say.
According to the Nutley Police Department, the following pair of incidents took place in June:
6/20/17 – Elm Place – Officers responded to the area to speak with the victim of an animal bite incident who stated that while walking they were bit by a Maltese poodle on the left shin. The party was offered and declined medical attention and signed the appropriate forms stating such. The dog owner was unable to provide a dog license with the Township of Nutley or any documentation of up to date routine shots. The dog owner was issued township ordinances for Licensing of Newly Acquired Dogs and Vicious Dogs through the Nutley Court. A copy of the incident was provided to the Health Department.

6/17/17 – Park Avenue – Officers responded to an animal bite incident where the victim stated that while walking down the street a dog lunged at him and bit their leg. The injury was a small superficial skin wound and medical attention was refused. The dog license and valid rabies vaccination paperwork were all valid and issued by the township.
