Popular Fundraiser Returning To Nutley For 2024: ‘The Garden Party’

The popular fundraiser The Garden Party will return to the renowned Mountsier-Hardie Garden on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024, from 4 to 7 p.m. The party is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Nutley Family Service Bureau, a 111-year-old nonprofit organization which provides mental health counseling, a food pantry, case management, and other social services to the area. The event will be catered by Nutley restaurant Mamma Vittoria, with other restaurants also contributing.

There will be several terrific entertainers donating their talents to the event, including:

• Sheldrake Lukas – opera and classical singer
• The Sebek Tenors – Nutley-based singing group, from opera to Broadway
• Xandt Wyntreez – poet, spoken word artist
• Mina Greiss Band – Nutley-based pop, soul band
• Ian Frobose Trio – Nutley-based jazz band featuring Vince Villanueva and Thaddeus Expose
• Pete Contini – Nutley native and Sticky Wickets member – solo guitar/vocal
• Jerome Bongiorno – jazz guitar
• Karen Trindle – Nutley-based harpist
• Special guests

The Nutley Family Service Bureau’s mission is to strengthen the emotional and social well-being of individuals and families through affordable mental health counseling and social service programs. NFSB Trustees Taji Karim-Reisch and Jennifer Boyes will serve as event co-chairs. Join this event to support the NFSB’s vital work in providing mental health, case management, and food pantry services to the Nutley community and make a difference.

The Mountsier-Hardie Garden was designed by famed landscape architect Richard Hartlage and is owned by Silas Mountsier and Graeme Hardie. The two-acre space is generally not open to the public and features grand views, areas of reflection, design sculptures, and hundreds of exceptional foliage and flower varietals. Mr. Mountsier and Mr. Hardie have been steadfast supporters of Nutley Family Service Bureau for many years.

Tickets and sponsorships are on-sale now at www.NutleyFamily.org. Tickets are $75 in advance and $85 at the door. There is a new VIP ticket option of $150 which includes early entry, a gift bag, and pre-event reception. Forest level sponsorships ($1,000) also include six VIP reception passes. The rain date for the event is Sept. 15.
