Possible Overdoses: Nutley Cops See Back to Back Tragedy, Triumph
Nutley police responded to a Franklin Avenue home twice in a single day, saving a life and experiencing a tragedy.
NUTLEY, NJ — Nutley police responded to a Franklin Avenue home twice in a single day last week, saving a life and experiencing a tragedy in the space of a few hours, authorities say.
According to the Nutley Police Department, officers responded to the Franklin Avenue residence on Sept. 9 on a report of an overdose. On arrival, the officers administered a dose of Narcan to a 31-year-old male, authorities said.
The male recovered and was in stable condition when officers left, police stated.

But just a few hours later, officers were called to the same home and found a 30-year-old woman suffering from an apparent overdose. The officers administered a dose of Narcan, but the woman passed away after attempts to save her life, police said.
