Quadruple Shooting In Essex County Leaves 1 Dead, 3 Injured: Police
Police are investigating a quadruple shooting that claimed one person's life and injured three others in Essex County, NJ.

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Authorities are investigating a quadruple shooting that claimed one person’s life and injured three others in Essex County on Monday.
Newark police officers responded to a report of a shooting on the 700 block of South 19th Street in Newark around 5:45 p.m., finding two males and a female suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Emergency responders transported all three victims to University Hospital, where the female was pronounced dead a short time after arrival, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office stated.
A fourth victim – a male – later admitted himself to University Hospital. Police determined that this victim was also shot on South 19th Street, prosecutors said.

All three men were treated for non-life-threatening injuries, prosecutors said.
The deceased woman’s identity is being withheld pending notification of her next of kin. The identities of the male victims are being withheld for “security reasons,” prosecutors said.
