Road Work Begins Along Nutley, Belleville Border
The work will take place on Washington Avenue from Mill Street in Belleville to Park Avenue in Nutley.
BELLEVILLE-NUTLEY, NJ — A New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) roadway project kicked off Tuesday along the border of Nutley and Belleville, and it’s expected to impact local traffic.
According to an advisory, the project limits are Washington Avenue (Route 7) from Mill Street (CR 672) in Belleville to Park Avenue (CR 646) in Nutley.

“Beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 5, NJDOT’s contractor, Crisdel Group, will begin performing preliminary survey and layout work, installing project signage and traffic control devices and equipment mobilization. This work will occur on Washington Avenue from Mill Street in Belleville to Park Avenue in Nutley and is weather-dependent. If traveling within the project limits on Washington Avenue, please expect possible single lane closures and shoulder/on street parking closures.”
