Roofing Companies Renovate Nutley VFW Building At No Cost

NUTLEY, NJ — The roof was recently raised at the Nutley VFW – literally.
Earlier this month, PB Roofing partnered with roofing manufacturer GAF to carry out a big renovation at the Nutley VFW’s banquet hall.
The project included a full recovery of the existing roof over the banquet hall, and a full replacement of the canopy over the main entrance. GAF donated all of the required roofing materials, while PB Roofing supplied the installation labor.

According to a news release, the donation was well-deserved:
“Annually, VFW and Auxiliary members donate nearly nine million hours to community service projects, relief efforts, and local VA facilities. In the first half of 2020 alone, the VFW Unmet Needs program helped over 270 veterans and military families from becoming homeless, going hungry or going without basic necessities during times of service members’ deployment or transition to the civilian workforce.”
The collaboration was part of GAF’s social impact initiative, “GAF Community Matters,” and PB Roofing’s “PB Purpose,” a program dedicated to serving the local community.

“We set out with a mission to help the public and we are proud of the impact this project will have on our veteran community,” said John Peck, founder of PB Roofing. “We are grateful to GAF for their collaboration.”
