School Bus Crashes Into Golf Course Fence In Belleville
A school bus crashed into the fence of a county-run golf course last week. No children were on board at the time, officials said.
BELLEVILLE, NJ — A school bus crashed into the fence of a county-run golf course in Belleville last week, officials said.
The crash took place on Thursday morning at Hendricks Field Golf Course off Franklin Avenue. No children were on board at the time, Mayor Michael Melham tweeted.
“Please keep the driver in your thoughts and prayers,” Melham added.

Authorities said the bus driver was unresponsive and might have suffered a medical episode before the crash. He was taken to Clara Maass Medical Center for treatment. An attendant was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, NJ.com reported.
The crash took place just a few days before county officials announced a major renovation at the golf course.
