Send A Letter To Nutley’s ‘Santa Express Mailbox’

Nutley town officials will collect letters from local children and "forward them directly to Santa Claus in the North Pole."

NUTLEY, NJ — Get your letters to Santa ready, Nutley. Town officials plan to once again collect letters written to Santa by children in the township and “forward them directly to Santa Claus in the North Pole.”

“Santa has promised that each and every letter will be read and responded to, thanks to the Santa Express Mailbox,” Nutley Commissioner Steven Rogers said.

The special “Santa Express Mailbox” will be placed at the Nutley Park Oval entrance on Chestnut Street where children can deliver their letters starting on Friday, Nov. 24, in conjunction with Santa’s Arrival in the Oval which is sponsored by the Nutley Chamber of Commerce.

The last day of collection will be Friday, Dec. 15, allowing Santa enough time to respond to each letter, town officials said.

“Parents are asked to please remember to have children include their age and return address on each letter to Santa,” officials said. “The address is very important since Santa doesn’t always have the luxury of time to look up addresses during the busy holiday season.”
