Several Residents Earn Berkeley Degrees

Ceremonies Held Recently at Izod Center

ESSEX COUNTY STUDENTS RECEIVE DEGREES
FROM BERKELEY COLLEGE

Berkeley College President Dario A. Cortes, PhD, has announced that students from Essex County, including several from Belleville, received degrees at the 2011 Berkeley College Commencement Ceremony, held at the IZOD Center in East Rutherford.

“This is just the beginning of your journey,” Cortes told the graduates at the ceremony. “These are uncertain economic times, the world that you are entering is at a critical juncture, but we know that you are well equipped and we have great confidence in your ability to be successful citizens and to compete in the 21st century.”

The Belleville graduates are: Weny Acuna, accounting; Yashoda Annirood, business administration; Ryane Connolly, management; Jennifer De Jesus, human resources management; Elisa Mendez, accounting; Jennifer Murgueyita, international business; Jesse Palma, fashion marketing and management; Lillian Maria Radwanski, business administration; Alexandria Retana, business administration; and Sheyla Tufino, health services administration. 

Berkeley College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and enrolls nearly 9,000 students —including more than 800 international students — in its Baccalaureate and Associate degree programs. The College has four New Jersey locations — Woodland Park, Paramus, Woodbridge, and Newark.  And in New York there are four locations — Midtown Manhattan, Lower Manhattan in the Wall Street area, Brooklyn, and White Plains.  Berkeley College Online also offers full degree programs.
