September is "Library Card Sign-Up Month" in Nutley. Here's what is in store for 2023.

NUTLEY, NJ — The following news release comes courtesy of the Nutley Public Library. Find out how to post announcements or events to your local Patch site.

September is Library Card Sign-Up Month, a time when the Nutley Public Library joins the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries nationwide to remind parents, caregivers and students that signing up for a library card is the first step on the path to academic achievement and lifelong learning, and the perfect start to the beginning of a new school year.

Throughout the month of September, children and teens that sign-up for a library card will receive a special goodie bag, and the fee to replace a library card will be waived. From September 16 through September 30, Nutley students’ ages 18 years and younger can have their fines forgiven. Fine forgiveness is only for Nutley items and does not apply to replacement costs.
