Street Will Be Named For Late Belleville Mayor, Angie Paserchia

BELLEVILLE, NJ — A street naming ceremony will be held for a late, former Belleville mayor this weekend.
Angie Paserchia will be honored at the ceremony, which will take place at the corner of Kimball and Harrison streets at 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 12.

“Paserchia was a former mayor of Belleville and a dedicated public servant whose decades of leadership left a lasting mark on the community. First elected to the Belleville Board of Education in 1991, she later served on the township council and was chosen by her colleagues to serve as deputy mayor and then mayor. During her tenure, she championed the planting of more than 3,500 cherry blossom trees, helping. earn Belleville the title ‘Cherry Blossom Capital of America.’”
