Suspicious Food Reported In Nutley: Police

A used mayonnaise jar with egg shells inside. An old ketchup bottle. Innocent food items, or suspicious evidence?

NUTLEY, NJ — On May 13, Nutley police officers received a report from a Cedar Street resident who allegedly found a peculiar pair of items on their front lawn when they woke up in the morning: a used mayonnaise jar which contained egg shells and an old, used ketchup bottle.

The resident also reported finding a carrot in the backyard, police said.

The resident reported experiencing a similar incident the previous week, also during the overnight hours, police said.
