This time was tempted to create a quite cutesy holiday themed combination of Pandora beads

Please note that due to Pandora’s restrictions, retailers may not ship outside of their own marketplace. This promotion is therefore strictly for those residing in the uk, unless you have a friend willing to purchase for you. I’m always so jealous of the Pandora bracelet promotions as the Pandora retailers are unable to offer them. I’m absolutely in need of another bracelet but I have a terrible habit of spending on charms instead, which naturally only serves to Pandora Alphabet Charms my lack of bracelet room.

While many people are trying to plan their purchases for the Pandora fall 2013 collection, there are also those of us still collecting the summer release. With the Pandora summer 2013 collection embracing the beach, holidays and the sea, the lighthouse charm is a really focal piece.

This is more whimsical than my usual taste in charms and yet something really appealed to me. The charm makes extensive use of vibrant enamel and boasts a dangle style. I was slightly shocked when this charm actually arrived with me. I had been under the impression it was almost full enamel, featuring red and white panels. In actual fact the distinctive Pandora Earrings are created from a mix of red enamel and high polish silver. The charm is still super cute but I think I would have preferred the design had it been full enamel. Obviously this is a matter of personal taste.

For those who, like me, are loving the Pandora bangle, this is a fabulous focal charm. To date I always wear my bangle either empty or with just a focal charm or two. For the featured bracelet I was tempted to create a quite cutesy holiday themed combination, featuring predominantly Pandora charms. When i was tiny, I used to holiday every summer at the coast with my grandparents. My grandad would frequently take me on day trips out to a nearby town famed for it’s lighthouse. My overwhelming memory of these holidays was an incredibly vibrant and traditional lighthouse on a back drop of very earthy, neutral colours. I was attempting to embrace the idea of pebble beaches and rocky cliff faces with a focal splash of colour.

By far my favourite Pandora charm bracelet is more gothic in design, featuring black pavé charms and studded clips. Considering this, I didn’t think a lighthouse would appeal to me enormously. This is a perfect example of why it’s worth seeing charms prior to dismissing them. Theoretically this shouldn’t appeal to me. In reality I think it’s super cute and a real focal piece for a seaside bracelet.

I honestly do with the silver panels had been replaced with white enamel but this is a matter of personal taste. I know plenty of collectors who are less enthused by the extensive use of enamel in recent releases.
