Distinguished Alumni to be Honored At Event Wednesday

For the fourth time in its three year existence, the Belleville Education Foundation (BEF) will sponsor a dinner honoring inductees onto the Wall of Recognition. The four honorees selected by the Belleville Board of Education (BOE) for 2011 have made profound impacts on society since their days in the Belleville School District.
“This is our biggest annual fund-raiser,” commented BEF Chairman, Joe Cervasio. “The BOE selections represent the best products of our Belleville School District, and the Foundation trustees and committee members are proud to be a small part of it.”
Last month, BOE trustee Joseph Longo announced the newest class: Brothers Gary and Frank Mascitelli, decorated Vietnam War veterans; Tom Apicella, popular Belleville businessman; and Dr. Cyrus Amato, distinguished dental professional.
Oct. 19, 2011 will be the day of celebration. After an afternoon assembly at the Connie Francis Music Theatre at Belleville High, a VIP reception for inductees and their supporters will be held at The Chandelier (6PM). That will be followed by the dinner (7PM). Tickets are available for the dinner for $75. The VIP reception and Dinner combination may be purchased for $150. (The BEF is a 501-{C}3 non profit organization.) Can't wait purchase tickets online at www.bellevilleef.org
“Since our inception in early 2009, the BEF has distributed grant monies and capital expenditure funds of nearly $25,000 to worthy education needs unsatisfied by the tax revenue structure,” announced Mrs. Freda. “And, we have more money to give.”
