Water Main Break In Belleville; Line Work Continues This Week
A water main break in Belleville is expected to impact service on a local street Wednesday. Water line work on Harrison Street continues.
BELLEVILLE, NJ — A water main break in Belleville is expected to impact service for some residents of Brighton Avenue, town officials announced Wednesday.
According to a municipal advisory, the issue is confined to Brighton Avenue, so only residents from Brighton to Bellevue avenues are affected.
“Residents on Brighton Avenue will experience little to no water pressure,” the advisory said. “Crews are on-site now, working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Once repairs are complete, water pressure will return to normal.”

Elsewhere in Belleville, water line work on Harrison Street is expected to continue until Friday.

According to a municipal advisory, the township will be completing the transfer of water lines to the new water main on Harrison Street between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. from March 24 through March 28.
Residents on the following streets may experience temporary water service disruptions, including no water, low pressure or discolored water:
- Harrison Street
- Wallace Street
- Brighton Street
- Parts of Mill Street
