Water Main Break In Belleville; Total Pressure Loss Possible For Some

BELLEVILLE, NJ — A water main break in Belleville may leave some residents without pressure or water altogether until repairs can be completed, authorities reported Thursday.

Belleville town officials released the following statement about the main break at 4:48 p.m.:

“There is currently a water main break at Yale and Princeton Terrace. Residents in the area of Joralemon, Yale, and Princeton Terrace may experience low water pressure or a complete loss of water during this emergency. Crews are working hard to repair the water main and will continue through the night. Water pressure will return to normal once the repairs are completed.”

“We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time,” the advisory stated. “Thank you for your patience.”
