Winnie The Pooh Drops In on Teddy Bear Tea Party

Kids Enjoy an Afternoon of Fun with Their Favorite Toys

The Belleville Public Library hosted a Teddy Bear Tea Party for children last Saturday and a special guest was in attendance.

Held annually, the Teddy Bear Tea Party is where kids get a chance to bring their favorite teddy bears and share an hour or more of fun, food, games and songs with other kids from the neighborhood. Around 95 children pre-registered fot the event this year.

One-by-one, they arrived with their parents, their most loved stuffed toys in hand, and took their seats at the decorated tables where food, crayons and pictures for coloring awaited them.

Danielle Cesena, who's in charge of the Children Services at the library, led the kids in songs and games. Everyone joined in the activities, even the youngest child, who’s only 18 months old.

Then a special guest arrived, much to everyone's surprise. Winnie the Pooh came to dance and play with the children, giving them high-fives and big hugs. Later on, the cake was served and the kids had their pictures taken with their favorite Disney character.
