Woman Lied About Nutley Armed Robbery Near Rt. 21, Police Say
A Paterson resident's claim that she was robbed at gunpoint in Nutley was "fabricated," authorities say.

NUTLEY, NJ — A Paterson woman’s claim that she was robbed in Nutley earlier this month was “fabricated,” authorities say.
According to the Nutley Police Department, Khitam Abdellatif, 37, told officers she was robbed at gunpoint on Park Avenue near the Route 21 overpass around 9 p.m. on Nov. 7.
Abdellatif said two men in a white BMW put a gun to her head and stole money and jewelry from her. However, detectives eventually determined that she “fabricated” the incident, authorities stated.
