Woman Revived In Nutley, Expected To Make Full Recovery
Nutley police found an "unresponsive" 42-year-old woman and her sister, who was giving her CPR. Here's what happened next.
NUTLEY, NJ — A 42-year-old woman is expected to make a full recovery after being revived with a defibrillator on Bloomfield Avenue earlier this month, Nutley authorities said.
According to the Nutley Police Department, officers responded to Bloomfield Avenue on Aug. 13 after getting a 911 call.
On arrival, the officers found an “unresponsive” 42-year-old woman and her sister, who was giving her CPR, authorities said.

The officers quickly took over, giving the woman lifesaving compressions and several shocks from a defibrillator. Soon, their efforts were rewarded when the woman took a breath on her own and regained a pulse, authorities said.
Nutley firefighters and EMS workers arrived on the scene and transported the woman to a nearby hospital. She’s expected to make a full recovery, police said Friday.

Lieutenant Robert Kordas, along with officers Ryan Mulligan, Luke Kelly and Richard Rempusheski, were credited for their “lifesaving response,” authorities said.
