Woman Sprays Charging Husky With Dog Repellent: Nutley Police

A dog escaped its confines and charged a woman and another canine on Edgewood Avenue in Nutley, police said.

NUTLEY, NJ — A woman sprayed a dog with repellent after it escaped its confines and charged her and another dog on Edgewood Avenue in Nutley last week, police said.

According to the Nutley Police Department, the incident took place as the woman was walking a client’s dog along Edgewood Avenue on June 7. As she passed a home with another canine – a Husky – it escaped its confines, authorities said.

The Husky’s owner was able to secure the dog and contain him, but the canine escaped again and charged the woman and her client’s dog, which was a smaller animal. At that point, the woman sprayed the Husky with Halt dog repellent, causing him to retreat.
