1 Killed, Another Airlifted In Head-On Crash In Berkeley: Police

An 81-year-old Whiting man died after his car was hit head-on while driving on Pinewald Keswick Road, Berkeley police said.

BERKELEY, NJ — An 81-year-old Whiting man was killed in a head-on crash on Pinewald Keswick Road Tuesday afternoon, Berkeley police said.

The crash occurred at about 2:41 p.m. on Nov. 22 near 854 Pinewald Keswick Rd., police said.

A 61-year-old Whiting woman driving a 2019 Honda HRV heading east left her lane and struck a 2010 Honda Fit head-on, police said.

Berkeley police and Manchester EMS gave medical treatment to both drivers, but the man died from his injuries, police said.

The woman was flown to Jersey Shore Medical Center, police said. Her current status was not shared by police.
