2-Month Drug Investigation Leads To 2 Ocean Gate Men Charged: Police
After a multi-agency investigation, two Ocean Gate residents were charged with dealing drugs in Stafford, police said.
STAFFORD, NJ — A two-month long narcotics investigation lead to two Ocean Gate men charged with distributing drugs in Stafford, police said.
Marques Belnavis, 28, and Edwin Flores, 55, who lived together on Chelsea Avenue in Ocean Gate, received numerous drug-related charges, including possession of CDS - crack, heroin and cocaine, possession with the intent to distribute CDS and conspiracy to distribute CDS, Stafford police said.
Stafford police executed a search warrant on their home and on Belnavis's 2017 Nissan Altima, police said. Ocean Gate police, Barnegat police's Crime Reduction Unit and the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office Narcotics Strike Force assisted in the investigation, Stafford police said.

Belnavis and Flores were processed at the Stafford Township Police Department and transferred to Ocean County Jail pending a future appearance in Ocean County Superior Court.
The Stafford Township Drug Enforcement Unit thanked the Ocean Gate Police Department, the Barnegat Township Police Department's Crime Reduction Unit and the Ocean County Prosecutors Office Narcotics Strike Force for their cooperation and assistance in this multi-agency investigation.
