23 New Jersey Escaped Convicts In 2016 Still On The Loose In These Areas

The escape of baby killer and convict Arthur Buckel caused a lot of fear recently, but he wasn't the only New Jersey prisoner on the lam this year.

Indeed, 23 convicts are still on the loose after escaping custody this year. Officials from the state Department of Corrections are asking for the public's help in finding these people who broke the law (see list below).

None of these escapees committed offenses on the level of Buckel, who was captured in wooded area along the Garden State Parkway in the Berkeley Township area in May after spending a week on the loose.

None of them escaped from an actual prison — they all fled from residential work programs or details, or drug centers. But their offenses were significant otherwise, ranging from carjacking to drugs.

Here is a list of the escapees with their photographs, their convicted charges, when and where they fled custody and where they were charged:

• Anton L. Bernabela, 36, Plainfield (Union County). Convicted: carjacking, aggravated assault. Fled Kintock Substance Abuse Center in Newark on June 25.

• Anthony Warrick, 57, Burlington County. Convicted: Aggravated assault. Fled Hope Hall in Camden on June 20.

• Eric Lee, 30, Union County. Convicted: aggravated assault, drugs. Fled Kintock June 20.

• Julio Rodriguez, 35, Ocean, Hudson counties. Convicted: weapons, drugs, forgery. Fled The Harbor Residential Program in Newark on June 18.

• Ibnballah Pitman, 37, Seaside Park (Ocean County). Convicted: heroin charges. Fled Kintock on June 10.

• Sherief Guinyard, 35, Middlesex County. Convicted: distributing drugs on school property. Fled Fletcher House in Camden on June 6.

• Charles E. Porter, 27, Hudson County. Convicted: distributing drugs on school property. Fled Kintock on June 3.

• Amon Boseman, 25, Woodbridge (Middlesex County). Convicted: robbery, drugs. Fled Kintock on June 3.

• Anthony Rivera, 42, Ocean, Hudson, Union counties. Convicted: endangering the welfare of a child, drugs, robbery. Fled Kintock on June 2.

• Tracy R Kellam, 49, Camden, Burlington, Gloucester counties. Convicted: theft, bad checks. Fled Kintcok on May 19.

• Omir Fleming, 22, Camden County. Convicted: drugs, burglary. Fled Hope Hall on May 14.

• Christoph Setzer, 35, Camden, Gloucester counties. Convicted: distributing drugs on school property. Fled Hope Hall on May 8.

• Kareem Griffin, 39, Camden County. Convicted: Heroin, distributing drugs on school property. Fled Fletcher House on May 7.

• Jose I. Alicea, 31, Camden County. Convicted: distributing drugs on school property. Fled Fletcher House on May 7.

• Rahman Griggs, 37, Union County. Convicted: Drugs, weapons. Fled The Harbor on April 28.

• Jason A. Love, 34, Camden County. Convicted: aggravated assault, weapons. Fled Hope Hall on April 28.

• Angela M Neumann, 30, Somers Point (Atlantic County), Burlington County. Convicted: drugs. burglary. Fled Fenwick House in Paterson on April 21.

• Richard N. Edwards, 44, Somerset, Middlesex counties. Convicted: drugs. Fled Clinton House in Trenton on March 29.

• Eddwine H. Brown, 39, Atlantic County. Convicted: drugs. Fled Hope Hall on March 6.

• Jamaal D Swinton, 23, Metuchen (Middlesex County), Newark (Essex County). Convicted: unlawful possession of a weapon. Fled Kintock in Newark on Feb. 25.

• Luis C Parrilla, 31, Bergen County. Convicted: manufacture, dispense distribute drugs. Fled Kintock in Newark on Feb. 11.

• Marvin L Lewter, 30, Union County. Convicted: burglary. Fled Kintock in Newark on Jan. 8.
