500 Lose Power In Berkeley Monday Morning

JCP&L expects to restore power by 12:30 p.m.

BERKELEY, NJ — About 500 lost power Monday morning in Berkeley. Jersey Central Power & Light expects to restore electricity by 12:30 p.m for 502 customers. The cause of the outage and the affected area wasn't immediately clear.

JCP&L said Monday morning that 3,196 Ocean County customers have their power out. The other outages are in Point Pleasant Borough (2,219), Brick (453) and Point Pleasant Beach Borough (22).

Only two percent of Berkeley customers have been affected, according to JCP&L.
