Thank-you for your interest in knowing who the 6th Candidate is. This is a perfect opportunity to tell my community and the voters a little about myself. . My name is Cathy Janiak and I am very excited about the opportunity to run for the Berkeley Township School Board. With the election just a week away I would like to provide you with the opportunity to review my credentials.
I have resided in Berkeley Township for the last sixteen years. I am married and have two children. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Business Administration from Georgian Court College and a Master’s Degree from Monmouth University.

My corporate career spans 27 years of Management and Professional experience which includes positions as a Forecaster Analyst, Team Leader, Business Consultant, System Service Analyst, and Corporate Trainer. Most recently I was the Administrator on Verizon’s Vice President’s team. My responsibilities included but were not limited to analyzing working force needs, developing personnel, creating and developing sales and administrative programs as well as negotiating grievances on behalf of management.
After leaving the corporate world in 2009, I decided to become a substitute teacher and have worked at the Central Regional School District for the past five years. During this period of time I have become very involved with the students and their welfare. I have taken pride in motivating and inspiring our youth to be the best they can be.
I believe that my corporate background and the experience I have gained as a substitute teacher have given me an insight into what needs to be improved in order for our students to meet the demands of the future. This starts with providing our students with a positive educational experience.

My platform views include having a non-partisan approach to quality education for all students. If elected I would like to align the curriculum and communication between Berkeley Township and the Central Regional School District. I would evaluate the possibilities of sharing services in order to provide tax payer great savings and I would encourage parental participation in advancing student achievement and improving student attendance.
I am asking for your vote on November 8. In the end my wish is to provide our children with the tools necessary to meet the demands of the future in the most cost effective way. It is time to put our children ahead of politics in the most cost efficient way possible. Please Vote 3 I on the Ballot.
Thank-You!
