Missing Man Taken Into Custody In Berkeley: Police
The man was reported missing on Wednesday, according to police, and had multiple warrants for violation of a court order.
BERKELEY, NJ — A "missing and endangered" man was found and taken into custody on several warrants Thursday afternoon in Bayville, police said.
Police initially said there was an active investigation underway in the area of Chain Boulevard and Route 9 around 12 p.m. on Aug. 22.
The man, who was reported missing on Wednesday, was believed to be in the area of 351 Atlantic City Blvd. on Thursday, according to a police news release. His identity was not released by police.

His last known location put him along Route 9 in the area of a drainage basin, police said.
After a lengthy search, he was found at about 12:30 p.m. near Richard's Sub World in Bayville, police said.

He was taken into custody "on the strength of multiple warrants out of Berkeley Township for violation of a court order," police said.
Police, Berkeley EMS, the Ocean County Sheriff's Office Drone Unit, Bayville Fire Department and Berkeley Township Public Works all participated in the search.
Investigation is ongoing, police said.
