OCEAN COUNTY, NJ — Ocean County residents will have no shortage of ways to spend the weekend, with environmental celebrations, family boardwalk fun, live music and community festivals taking place across the region from Friday through Sunday.
Kicking off the weekend, families can head to Jenkinson's Boardwalk on Friday, May 15, for Families Boardwalk Night with Ocean County Tourism. The event runs from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and promises an evening of games, giveaways and seaside fun. Visitors can stop by the tourism table to play games, win Ocean County World Cup-themed swag and learn more about destinations and attractions throughout the county while enjoying the boardwalk atmosphere.
Saturday brings a packed lineup of daytime events beginning with the 23rd annual Ocean Fun Days celebration, hosted by New Jersey Sea Grant Consortium and New Jersey Natural Gas. The free event takes place Saturday, May 16, at Island Beach State Park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a second day planned Sunday at Gateway National Recreation Area. Organizers say the annual festival will once again feature free activities, educational exhibits and family-friendly entertainment focused on marine science and coastal conservation. Also on Saturday, shoppers and food lovers can check out the 2026 Craft Vendor and Food Truck Festival hosted by the Stafford Township EMS Auxiliary at Southern Regional High School. Running from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the event will feature local craft vendors, handmade goods and a variety of food trucks. Organizers describe the festival as a family-friendly community event supporting the EMS auxiliary’s ongoing efforts.
Environmental awareness and sustainability will also take center stage Saturday during Brick Township Annual Green Fair at the Bob Anstett Cultural Arts Center. Scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the fair’s 2026 theme is “Wildlife, wellness, and well being.” Visitors can expect vendors, educational exhibits, giveaways, door prizes, food trucks and even a clothing swap. The event is hosted by the Township of Brick alongside several local environmental and community organizations, including Sustainable Brick and the Brick Green Team.
The weekend wraps up Sunday with live entertainment during Music-Fest 2026 at American Legion Post 493 in Little Egg Harbor.
