Revolutionary Lives Exhibit Set For Stops In Lacey, Berkeley

BERKELEY, NJ — A free traveling exhibit tied to New Jersey's Rev250 commemoration is coming to Lacey Township and Berkeley Township later this month, with displays focused on the lives of everyday people during the American Revolution.

Revolutionary Lives: Living the American Experiment Then and Now was curated by the New Jersey Historic Trust and RevolutionNJ. According to the event announcement, the exhibit explores the stories of people who lived in New Jersey during the Revolutionary era and highlights the state's role in the nation's founding. The traveling display includes 14 freestanding panels and educational materials.

The exhibit is being presented by the Charles A. Smith Memorial Association.

In Lacey Township, it will be available Friday, June 26, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lacey Community Center, 15 East Lacey Road in Forked River. The Lacey stop is hosted by the Lacey Township Municipal Alliance.

In Berkeley Township, the exhibit will be at the Berkeley Recreation Center, 630 Atlantic City Boulevard, Route 9, in Bayville. It opens Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. as part of a Rev250 Open House, with a Revolutionary War presentation scheduled for 5 p.m. that day.

The Berkeley stop continues Sunday, June 28, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with another Revolutionary War presentation at 2 p.m. The exhibit then will remain open Monday, June 29, through Friday, July 3, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

According to the announcement, the Berkeley dates are being hosted by the Berkeley Township Historical Society and Berkeley Township Recreation Department. Admission is free and open to the public.

Organizers said the display gives residents a chance to learn more about the people whose experiences shaped the state and the nation during the Revolutionary period.
