• Cops foil second hit after NJ senior sends scammers $50K (nj1015.com) — A Berkeley Township senior was conned into mailing a $50,000 cashier's check to scammers posing as Microsoft and Wells Fargo, but local police intervened before she lost another $30,000. Officers coordinated with the victim as suspects called back, arresting a 24-year-old New York man who allegedly arrived at her Holiday City home to collect the cash.
   

• $509 Million Garden State Parkway Overhaul To Bring Major Changes To Ocean County Exits (lakewoodalerts.com) — Drivers in Berkeley should prepare for a $509 million Garden State Parkway overhaul between mileposts 80 and 83 that will rework key exits and ramps. Starting as early as spring 2027, the project will rename exits, add collector-distributor lanes, change access to Route 9 and Double Trouble Road, and upgrade bridges to improve safety and reduce backups.
