BERKELEY, NJ — Bayville residents will have a chance to visit the local firehouse and meet firefighters during the Bayville Volunteer Fire Department's annual open house on Oct. 20.
It is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. at 645 Atlantic City Blvd. The invitation says families are welcome to attend.
"We're opening our doors to the community, and we would love for you and your family to come out and join us!" the Bayville Volunteer Fire Department said in the announcement.
According to the department's notice, the event is planned as "a fun-filled night" where visitors can meet firefighters, check out fire trucks and equipment, and get "a behind-the-scenes look at what we do to help keep our community safe." The announcement also encourages residents to bring questions and spend time with neighbors at the firehouse.
