Another Scorcher For Coastal Ocean County Beaches

Highs will be in the lower 90s, moderate rip current risk.

Summer just won't quit.

The National Weather Serviceis calling for partly sunny skies with highs in the lower 90s. Beach winds will be from the south at 10 to 15 miles per hour.

There's a moderate risk of rip currents today, which means that wind and wave conditions support stronger or more frequent rip currents near jetties, piers and other area especially during low tide. Waves will be three to four feet, with southeast swells from two to four feet. The water temperature is 74 degrees.

Always have a flotation device with you in the water and swim only in guarded areas. Discuss any possible surf zone hazards with the guards.

There is no lightning threat today. The UV index is a 7, which the NWS considers high.

Low tide came in at 8:47 p.m. High tide will roll in at 2:58 p.m., followed by another low tide at 9:42 p.m.
