Body Of Missing Island Beach State Park Woman Recovered
The woman went missing late Monday afternoon and her body was recovered early Tuesday afternoon, officials said.
BERKELEY, NJ — The search for the missing 59-year-old woman at Island Beach State Park has ended as her body has been found, officials said.
The body was recovered at 11:05 a.m., a spokesman for the Department of Environmental Protection said.
Authorities received the call about a missing woman late Monday afternoon, a U.S. Coast Guard spokesman said.

A man reported that his wife had entered the water and not returned, a spokesman for the DEP, which oversees State Park Police, said. New Jersey State Park Police were made aware of the missing woman at 8:20 p.m., he said.
A small boat from the Barnegat Inlet Station and a helicopter from the Atlantic City Air Station helped in yesterday's search, which was called off at dusk, the Coast Guard said.

The Coast Guard's cutter Sea Hawk continued the search overnight as it has a "more robust crew" and overall more robust assets, the Coast Guard spokesman said.
The search began again Tuesday at 8 a.m., the DEP spokesman said.
The U.S. Coast Guard, State Park Police, New Jersey State Police Aviation Unit, Berkeley Township Police, the Ocean Beach Fire Department, the Seaside Park Fire Department, the Seaside Heights Fire Department, the Lavallette Fire Department and the Ocean County Sheriff's Office assisted in the search.
