Barbara Theresa Britton Of Bayville Dies At 82

Barbara Theresa Britton passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loving family and friends on Monday, Sept. 7, 2015.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Robert and her parents, William G. andTheresa Metcalfe. Barbara loved to dance, travel and spend time with family and friends. She worked for many years for Berkeley Township as secretary of the Planning Board and Board of Adjustment. She was also a active member of the Berkeley Township Historical Society.

Barbara is survived by her daughters, Linda T. Riggle and Kathleen A. Petersen, both of Bayville; three grandchildren, Robert W. Britton, Richard (Jesse) Petersen and Virginia Petersen; four great-grandchildren, Noelle, Theresa, Bobbi Ann and Jonathan; her brothers, William G. and Jacqueline Metcalfe of Florida and Lewis and Sally Hemion of Colorado; her brother-in-law, Samuel R. and Lillian Britton of Bayville, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Memorial Gathering will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015 at the Bayville VFW 383 Veterans Boulevard in Bayville.
