Bayville Man Caught With Drugs During Traffic Stop: Police
Police said a motor vehicle stop in Stafford Township led to methamphetamine and paraphernalia charges.
MANAHAWKIN, NJ — A Bayville man was charged with drug offenses in Stafford Township on April 24 after a motor vehicle stop, according to Stafford Township police.
Police reported that Scott Soltis, 33, was placed under arrest at about 2 p.m. on April 24, 2026. According to police, the investigation during the stop resulted in the discovery of a suspected controlled dangerous substance and drug paraphernalia.
Soltis was charged with two counts of possession of methamphetamine, which police identified as a third-degree crime. He was also charged with two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, which police identified as a disorderly persons offense.

After he was processed at the Stafford Township Police Department, Soltis was released with a criminal complaint summons, according to police. The summons requires him to appear in Ocean County Superior Court.
