Bayville Man Hit Several Cars, Assaulted Worker On Parkway: Police
Jonathan Ferro did several hit-and-runs and once his car was disabled, fled on foot and assaulted a construction worker, police said.
TINTON FALLS, NJ — A Bayville man was charged after he wreaked havoc on the Garden State Parkway, hitting several cars with his own before fleeing on foot and physically assaulting a construction worker, New Jersey State Police said.
Jonathan Ferro, 21, was involved in "multiple hit-and-run accidents" on Wednesday afternoon near milepost 101.3 on the Garden State Parkway in Tinton Falls, a New Jersey State Police spokesperson told Patch.
Ferro, driving a Dodge pickup, was involved in several crashes before his truck became disabled, police said. He then fled on foot.

While on foot, Ferro physically assaulted a construction worker, police said.
Neptune police arrived on scene and apprehended Ferro on McNamara Way in Tinton Falls, police said. He was taken into State Police custody.

Ferro was charged with three counts of assault by auto, driving under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance, and numerous motor vehicle violations, according to police.
He was released pending a future court date.
