Bayville Man Sought In String Of Brick Burglaries
Police are seeking Christopher Butler in connection with three commercial burglaries that happened in Brick in January.
BAYVILLE, NJ — Brick police are seeking a Bayville man in connection with three commercial burglaries that happened in Brick in January, police said.
Christopher Butler, 35, was charged with three counts of burglary, three counts of criminal mischief and two counts of theft in the three burglaries that happened from Jan. 10 to Jan. 17, Sgt. Jim Kelly said.
Butler's location is unknown, Kelly said.

Each of the January burglaries happened overnight, with a large rock or brick thrown through the business's window, Kelly said.
The first burglary on Jan. 10 was at Jovo's Deli on Route 88. Under $700 of damage was done and an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen, Kelly said.

On Jan. 11, Cornerstone Dry Cleaners on Yorktowne Boulevard was broken into, with damage caused to the back window, Kelly said.
Public Storage on Route 70 was burglarized on Jan. 17, and about $300 in damage was done to one of the windows, Kelly said.
Similar burglaries happened in a neighboring town, and Brick Detective Ryan Talty worked with investigators from that department who identified Butler as the suspect, Kelly said.
