Bayville's Blackbeard's Cave Arcade Closing: Report

Blackbeard's Cave Arcade posted outside its door that it will close Feb. 3, according to a report.

Game over. Blackbeard's Cave Arcade in Bayville will close Feb. 3 after 25 years of operation, according to Exit 77 Scanner News. Customers must use their tokens and redeem tickets before closing, as they are non-refundable, according to a picture Exit 77 Scanner News found outside the arcade.

Blackbeard's Cave Family Entertainment Center also features outdoor activities such as go-karts, mini golf and batting cages. Although their homepage states "PARK CLOSED TILL SPRING OF 2019," it is unclear whether only the arcade or the rest of the family center is closing permanently.

The center has not posted on social media since Oct. 19, before outdoor activities would have closed for the winter. Attempts to reach Blackbeard's Cave were unsuccessful.
