Beachwood Camp Guides Zombie Apocalypse Survival

BEACHWOOD, NJ — You never know when you're going to need these skills. A "Zombie Survival Camp" for kids will take place at Jakes Branch County Park later this month.

The camp, for kids ages 10-13, runs from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. June 26-27 at the Beachwood park's Nature Center. The camp costs $20 per person.

"Whether you are a survival aficionado or just a fan of zombie movies, this camp is for you!" Ocean County Parks & Recreation says.

The program teaches some practical skills that will be useful even before the zombies get here. The survival camp will show kids how to make their own shelters and fire, use a bow and arrow, forage for food and "take the ultimate zombie survival challenge."
