Beachwood Borough has not had an official history book since 1924, according to the Beachwood N.J. History Archive.

An official Beachwood Borough history books has not been published since 1924, according to the Beachwood N.J. Historical Archive. That will change soon. Resident and former news publisher Erik J. Weber finalized a publishing contract to create a new Beachwood history book, Weber announced.

Publication is scheduled for Spring 2020, he said. The Beachwood Volunteer Fire Company will hold a fundraiser offering specially priced copies for area residents. All profits will benefit the organization.

The book examines Beachwood from its 1914-15 founding to the 1954 opening of the Garden State Parkway. It will also include a look at land uses predating the town itself and segments on local historical figures.
